Who We Are
Since a group of local farmers joined together in 1950, the Douglas County Farm Bureau has been a member driven organization focused on advocating for farmers and ranchers at the local, state, and national levels.
We hold membership meetings most months of the year where our members can bring issues they experience, solutions to problems, and innovative ideas that maintain our ability to continue our farming and ranching operations for future generations.
We engage with policy makers and other natural resource advocacy organizations on issues that affect farming and ranching, educate local youth on agriculture through hands on learning, and provide scholarships for continuing education for Douglas County Students.
Our goals are to promote profitable and permanent systems of agriculture, wholesome living conditions, high ideals in home and community life, general interest in the business of farming and ranching, and encouraging active citizenship responsibility in local, State, National, and International affairs.
